The dissemination action in STARLight will use as one of its vehicles a web portal named: www.starlight-project.eu.

The main objective, in addition to trigger attention to the STARLight project and its results, is to create over years a live Silicon Photonics Eco system ranging from 300mm PIC platform technology innovators to skilled designers thus triggering new integrated systems on PIC100 / PIC200 technology on the market.

To increase global efficiency and avoid redundancy, the STARLight portal will support concurrently 2 functions:

• Promote the sharing of all relevant STARLight data among the members of the consortium,
• Promote the project result to the external world ranging from project reviewers to academic centres to the worldwide designer community and ultimately to the whole photonics world.

As far as public dissemination is concerned four features need to be supported to guarantee a live project result dissemination namely: Scientific publications, Dedicated Events, Education and training, and all worldwide News focusing on STARLight topics.

The objectives of WP6 are:

• O6.1: Efficient communication - To set and implement all along the project lifetimes an efficient communication strategy (internal to the project and external to the stakeholders)
• O6.2: Dynamic dissemination strategy - To ensure a dynamic dissemination strategy and to organize maximized results exploitation during the project
• O6.3: Education and training - To enhance dissemination of a new technology, education actions are of prime importance.

This Work package will be divided in 3 tasks:

• T6.1 External communication and dissemination of the results.
• T6.2 Exploitation of STARLight results and business plans
• T6.3 Education and training
