This task aims to develop and demonstrate Silicon Photonic devices for three different applications, both relevant for Telecom market application. The first is the realization of an integrated switch for optical offload in Radio Access Network. The second is a coherent transceiver for Satellite free space optical communication realized by a co-packaged multi-chiplet device. The third is a high-density integrated transceiver for Analog Radio over Fiber that aims to significantly reduce power consumption and environmental impact for radio systems based on very large antenna arrays.
