T2.1 Definition of the requirements of the photonics technologies

The requirements necessary at the technological platform level are guided by the needs of the applications. We will aim to build a set of requirements necessary to address different application domains. Since the various technologies developed within WP3 (Si based, non-Si based, Substrate can potentially interact with each other's, the requirements must take also interdependencies into account. Of course, since DTCO/STCO approach will be considered one can expect some requirements from the WP3 toward the end users of WP4 and WP5.

The subtask leaders here will be STM for the silicon photonics technologies and the EIC technologies, CEA for the non-silicon technologies and Soitec for the substrates. They will oversee the compilation of the end user needs for the work targeted within the project but also for the next steps in order to elaborate a technological roadmap for the European photonic ecosystem.
